Many of our cemetery plots include perimeter concrete curbs, delineating the edges from neighboring plots. These curbs are challenging the efficiency of the maintenance of lawn care and we have experienced damage to our grass cutting equipment as a result of trimming around these curbs. Additionally, these curbs frequently do not penetrate into the ground significantly, and are often settling and cracking. This is detrimental to the general appearance of the cemetery.
To address these problems, the parish committee has decided to begin removing the curbs, as part of ongoing perpetual care. This will be a phased implementation, occurring over the next number of years, until the curbs are removed.
If you have concerns regarding this maintenance initiative to improve our cemetery, please contact the parish committee chairman.
