It started as a Memory Tree, a way to bring our dearly departed ones into our Easter Celebrations. The seed was planted and it blossomed also into a Prayer tree, a way to send prayers to our loved ones who are still with us.
Many of these trees have sprung up at St. Mary’s—trees adorned with Easter Eggs and Easter Bunnies, each personally decorated to ask for God’s blessings for those we hold dear in our hearts, with a special branch dedicated to our brothers and sisters in Perpetual Care.
A seed was planted and started to grow An abundance of prayers for all to sow. Straight from our hearts to those we love Straight to our hearts from the Lord above. When we pray together our prayers become stronger And unite our souls, forever, and longer.
