On Sunday, February 17, the spirit of Valentine’s Day lived on as 30 parishioners joined together for a ‘Sweetheart’s Tea’ after Mass.
A delicious array of cakes, cookies, and muffins were enjoyed by all.   The highlight of the afternoon was a draw for a heart shaped box of chocolates that was won by Fr. Czelen, who graciously shared them with all in attendance.
Many thanks to the Ladies of the Adoration Society for putting on this event, especially: Barbara Coelho, Irene Hodyr, Maggie Domiter, Vicky Czelen and Elaine VanDenBusche. We are also grateful to those parishioners who helped tremendously in making this event successful and to all who donated for this cause. Their continual support to our church in almost all of our parish events is truly commendable. We pray that God bless them always.

Valentine treasures are people who
have often crossed your mind,
family, friends and others, too,
who in your life have shined
the warmth of love or a spark of light
that makes you remember them;
no matter how long since you’ve actually met,
each one is a luminous gem,
who gleams and glows in your memory,
bringing special pleasures,
and that’s why this Valentine comes to you:
You’re one of those sparkling treasures!
